Diane has enjoyed decorating since she was a child. While she leans more toward a french country style, she finds beauty and interest in all decorating styles of today. She recently developed a liking for the industrial style and the industrial items she has recently discovered. She believes it is important to embrace new ideas and new creations and tries to keep an open mind when it comes to styles and trends. Her website is a place to find industrial furniture and accessories for your home or business and was created to keep her busy doing something she loves since she has recently retired. You can join her in her new found love of the industrial/urban style by browsing and perhaps choosing a new piece for your home today.
Although storage facilities are much better than garage storage and also have provisions for boat storage, one needs to be careful while packing things for storage. For instance, a cloth or a towel can be placed over the contents of each drawer to prevent dust from entering the furniture. Wrap the light bulbs and shades from lamps, in towels or newspapers. Computers and electronic items can be stored in their original boxes. All the accessories like cords, modems, speakers, and microphones should be stored together so that they do not get lost.
Uniqueness. Being mass produced store bought furniture will hardly have any difference from one piece to another as it will not be a one of a kind. Owning a customised furniture you will be the only person who has it and will reflect your particular taste on it.
Whether or not you will be moving: You might have just moved into a small rental house where you are starting your life from. When the money starts rolling in, do not just run to purchase big sofa sets. Buy just what you need at that moment. Save the money for the eventual move that you will make into the bigger space. This will allow you to lead a comfortable life both in the smaller home and the bigger one that you will eventually move into. You do not want to run to buy furniture now then after you move you find yourself dealing with issues such as the furniture does not blend with your new home or even does not fit in the new home.
In today's market place you can find a plethora of reproduced chairs, desks, tables, storage units, lighting, and accessories inspired by the industrial era, but if you truly want an industrial look, try searching for original items that can be found in salvage yards, flea markets and junk shops, and re-purpose them, or use them as is to add a bit of character and drama to a space. Many of today's manufacturers are designing pieces that really bring back the industrial era and while some of these items are pricey, they are great for adding historical character in today's spaces.
